Traveling alone

It's being a week since I arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan to visit my son and his family. I am still feeling groggy.

I travelled half way around the world. It took 17 hours of traveling time from Kuala Lumpur to Los Angeles with  45 minutes stopover in Taipei and I had to wait another 10 hours to get to my next connecting flights to Detroit.  I arrived in Detroit at 5.15 in the morning to see my son, whom I had not seen for almost 2 years. He was there but I was too tired. We drove another 26 km before reaching his residence where his wife welcomes me with a lavish preparation of nasi lemak. But I was too tired to appreciate.

I am still  suffering from jet lag. I am still having trouble sleeping at night and staying awake during the day.

The weather has been wonderful, cool and bright. We had bar-B-Q for lunch in my son's backyard. I saw a few squirrels on the maple tree. One little bird just flew down to greet me on the tree where I was sitting. I saw a flight of birds just flew above me.

I really enjoyed this beautiful weather outside the house, but as soon as I got inside my eyes started to drool and I wanted to sleep again.

I am so glad I made this trip. To see of my daily activities please go my DIL's photoblog
